A ‘Sleepless’ Night at Rebak Island: A Taj Hotel
Born and been living in Langkawi doesn’t mean that I have traveled and conquered all corners-stones of the archipelago. Given the opportunity to work and travel at the same time (especially if its behind your own backyard) has given me one of the things I’ve ever wanted. Ever!

The view from the port to Rebak Island
The boat ride from Port Langkasuka to Rebak Island feels like just a sec as you slide through the beautiful sea and cross under the prominet Langkawi waves-breaker.

the boat is here! yeay!

crossing under the waves-breaker
When we come closer to the Island, the views from the other side is amazing, looking over the villas and resorts by the sea. The sense of exclusivity was injected each step closer to the island.

The beautiful resort (which happen to be my room on the left!)
I’ve read, heard rumors, ‘words of mouth’ from my friends and even google-ed the Rebak Island Resort - The food, services, ambiance and etc. and now its time for me to explore it on my own (not exactly my own if you count 30 other people in a group). With a background in Tourism & Hotel Management , I’ve been to too many hotels and resorts and I’ve seen it all from the back and front of the house. It always entice me what Rebak Island has to offer.
Although we were in a large crowd, the boat did manage to carry us by staggered and doesnt make it too crowded at a time.

Beautiful Rebak Marina
The moment I step on the Rebak Marina, the energy of the place amazed and tingles my senses. The staffs were very attentive and warmth where you can feel the sense of personal touch to every single details of the service.

the buggy that I called “Buggy” (go figure ha!)

let’s race! (at 2 meters per sec!)
The buggy ride took us through a luxurious forest, breathtaking landscape and magnificent views of the Island. I’ve spotted some other guests were having their yoga session on our way in and that just gives me a very good vibe.
I didn’t check in immediately as we have to be in the “brainstorming session” at the exact moment when we arrive. (forget about the conference, i’m here to talk about the resort!)

Nice rattan-woven chandelier at Senari Restaurant
When we arrived, we had lunch at the Senari Restaurant and then taken we move to a banquet hall for our conference.

Outdoor spa center
After long hours of storming my brains out, we were taken to our room receptively. The room was spacious, with a perfect location for a serene and relaxing vacation with bed facing the view and spacious bath room. Its not just about the facilities of the room, but its the feeling of being in a different island or place that secluded made everything interesting.

Wake up with the sunrise view on the balcony
Too bad that the sunrise view is partly covered by the tree, but its fine for me as i like trees around me all the time.

Breakfast at Senari Restaurant
The next day, I had my breakfast again at Senari Restaurant. The food influenced by the Indian, Malaysian and Chinese cuisines are very well thought of. And again, having the amazing view and excellent customer service is great eventhough I had a sleepless night.

Views of the beach at Rebak Island

taking a few minutes before moving back to the real world.
Even though I stated as A ‘Sleepless’ Night at Rebak Island: A Taj Hotel, its not my attentions to say and picture it in a bad light. The thing is that my conference ended at 3.30 in the morning i have the little time to take the time to enjoy the island.
I really enjoyed being at Rebak Island with its unique energy, location and excellent services. A stumble with any of the staff will ended up with a smile and I will definitely be back! (with a good book and all the time needed).
*Highly Recommended for those who search for a serene and quite time with total quality and human touch service.
